First Lady brings a separate branch of the Nazeera / Malaka / Bint Bint Riyala Kuhaylan Rodan strain to the Dogwood Springs broodmare band, through the Gleannloch import *Omayma. *Omayma was a full sister to Gleannloch's *Romanaa II, found in the dam line of many of Dogwood Springs's best mares. *Omayma, like her sister *Romanaa II, established an entire dynasty of her own.

First Ladyy's sire, the Source CC, was sired by Dr. Hans Nagel's excellent senior stallion Salaa El Dine, and out of the Israeli-bred imported *Malik daughter Mouna IASB. First Ladyy's dam was by 1983 US Reserve National Champion Stallion Ruminaja Ali.
