Barachis Litening descends from the Falima line of the Dahman Shahwan strain. Falima founded the extremely successful Ansata "Nile" line. Barachi's Litening is a classic, high stepping mover who inherited his great-grand dam's (Ansata Nile Mist) ability to "trot a hole in the wind!" Ansata Nile Mist was acquired by the Imperial herd as a filly. With Imperial, she went on to be Class A halter champion, and a dam and grand dam of champions. Bred to the imported *Jamilll, she produced Imperial Mistill, a prolific broodmare and producer of many excellent quality sons and daughters including Imperial Saturn, Imperial Kamill, and Imperial Mistaar, as well as Barachi's Litening's beautiful dam Imperial Mistillla. In 2007, Imperial Mistillla was purchased by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani's Al Shaqab Farm of Doha, Qatar.
